Yoga Retreat Info Package:
November 17-23, 2020
What is it?
Join Sandra Van Dong-DeLaRonde RYT-200 for 7 days and 6 nights in Long Bay, Portland, Jamaica, the island known as the enchanting jewel of the Caribbean. Portland is on Jamaica’s East Coast, and is one of the most beautiful places on the island with its warm blue waters, romantic coves, virgin beaches, breathtaking panoramic views and waterfalls. It is not a tourist area, therefore you will be far away from the rush and hustle of the city, but still have the chance to meet locals, walk around and enjoy amazing wild nature and the pulsing culture of sweet Jamaica.
Go Natural, a lovely bohemian-style eco-resort, and your home-away-from home, is in one of the most pristine areas of Jamaica, surrounded by ocean on one side and mountains on the other, but still just a short 30 min trip into town for shopping and experiencing the Jamaican culture. It is directly on the seaside, with fantastic ocean views and surrounded by gorgeous green nature. Nearby to sugar-white beaches, majestic waterfalls, charming houses, breathtakingly beautiful mountain peaks and tropical flora; all of it accompanied by the sensual beat of reggae.
It is a quiet, safe place where you can relax and listen to the birds singing and the ever-flowing voice of the ocean. There is a private beach, access to a sea lagoon, and plenty of space to relax and rejuvenate.

Extra Things to Note:
Safety – This particular area of Jamaica remains fairly untouched by tourism, and is one the best offbeat places for some quiet time. The parish of Portland, Jamaica has the lowest crime rate in Jamaica. The people are friendly and major weather events (like hurricanes) do not hit the island directly. As always while traveling, be cautious and smart. Avoid walking alone at night and do not carry large amounts of money with you.
Currency - Jamaica uses both US dollars and Jamaican dollars. It is a good idea to bring some of each currency, although most places will accept USD. You may pay in USD but get change in Jamaican dollars.
Electricity/Plugs - generally 110v and the same prongs as North America, so you will not need an adaptor.
Departure Tax - An airport departure tax of US$35 is payable when departing Jamaica. In most cases this tax is included in the cost of the airline ticket (paid in advance).
